Pupil Leadership
School Council
Our School Council is central to our school community. They are elected by the whole school and demonstrate and promote our school values. They meet every week with Mrs Carney to raise any issues and discuss how we can ‘be our best on our pathway to success’. Our focus this year is to help our teachers raise awareness of our values and work towards becoming ethos ambassadors for our school.
Whole School Roles and Responsibilities
At Woodhouse Primary Academy we want to provide opportunities for all of our pupils to develop skills and have opportunities to demonstrate our school values. Each role is linked to a member of staff in school and children meet twice per half term to discuss and develop their roles and responsibilities and develop our school values.

Across school we encourage children to undertake the following key roles and responsibilities:
Monitoring roles:
School Environment
Playtime Monitors
EYFS Monitors
Ambassador roles:
Reading Ambassadors
Eco Ambassadors
British Values Ambassadors
Children’s Wellbeing Ambassadors
Sports Ambassadors
Year 6 exclusive responsibilities
It is our belief that Year 6 should be positive role models and set an example to the rest of the school. The below positions are exclusively available to Year 6 pupils. These important roles and the valuable input that our pupils provide are well respected and valued by staff. Children can apply for these key roles and once selected attend any relevant training and meetings for their role.

Mental Health Ambassadors
